• Medium to dark colors photograph best.
• Avoid strong horizontal stripes.
• DON’T wear sleeveless clothing.
• Dark shoes are best with dark pants.
• DON’T change your hair style until you’ve viewed your previews.
• DON’T do anything drastic to your hair before your sitting.
• DON’T overdo the sun for your portrait. Strap marks and sunburn will show but can be retouched. See Retouching.
• If you wear glasses, and choose to wear them in your portraits, please try to get a pair of frames without the glass as we can not be responsible for any glass glare. However, we will make every effort to eliminate it.
• GIRLS - use normal make-up, applied lightly and evenly. Use eye makeup in moderation. We suggest colorful or natural lipstick. Wear your hair the way you feel most comfortable. Don’t do anything drastic to your hair the day before your sitting.
• GUYS - Don’t have your hair cut the day before. If possible, have it cut a week or two before your sitting. Beards are great, but whisker stubble can ruin your portrait.
